She keeps doing that...

Rings
New improved Miniwether, now with pierced ears.

She keeps growing up and this kind of makes me sad. Here's the first picture of her that appeared on this blog:

She was so cute back then, which as her dad I find much more acceptable than her being beautiful.

Adventure! Excitement! Daddy needs a shotgun!

Shall I prepare the armory for when she turns 16, M'Lord? Lol.

Now days Izzy, I'm thinking 12. :-( I'd love to meet her boyfriends at the door holding a belt-fed shotgun...

The sad thing is you'll have to go through this twice! Just as one grows out of it the other will grow into it.

Welcome to the club!!! (mine's 16).

It helps for her friends to think her dad's "a little off", beyond that you just gotta trust in what you've taught her.

That will mean more to her than any display of firepower.

All of my daughter's male friends know of her dad's "shovel" (whack'em in the head and bury them with one tool - love multi-purpose gear).

I've even took the measuring tape to one fellow and he responded "finding out how big a hole to dig?".

I know I won't have to dig any holes for any boys, she handles herself well, and she know if need be, daddy's got her back.

They do grow so fast...you could try something my Dad REALLY did. He answered the door and my first day was there. He asked, "Do you know what Fibonacci numbers are?" Date said no. Door was slammed in face. He told me the "moron" could come in the house when he could answer the question of the day. I dated the guy, but Dad actually had a good point. "Moron" is now an AC repairman. Nice, but not intellectually stimulating.

I have a collection of long distance weapons you are more than welcome to borrow, Sir.

Doesn't Daddy already own a shotgun?

I reckon she'll grow up with enough self-respect and intelligence that she won't even need Daddy to intimidate suitors. She'll likely be well-equipped to do the job herself!
